WHO WE ARE
We are Christians; our time together will begin and end in prayer to God for wisdom and the help of His Spirit. For those who are not Christian believers, the counseling sessions will include the gospel, the good news of salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are members of Providence Baptist Church. PBC is a Reformed and Southern Baptist Church committed to the Bible as God’s inspired Word and the sole and sufficient authority for what we believe and how we should live. We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to the Bible alone, to the glory of God alone. We also affirm the need for personal holiness and purity of life among those who profess to belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. This life is lived in loving God and loving our neighbors.
We believe the local church should be central in the Christian’s life. Christians need each other and they need a good local church to instruct, to counsel and, if need be, to correct them.

We are committed to certain priorities intended to promote true biblical doctrine and personal daily devotion to the Lord in our lives. These priorities are centered around a true and proper worship of God, including an emphasis on the preaching of God's Word, a prevailing attitude of prayer for God's will to be done in and through us, a relentless pursuit of personal holiness, and the achievement of biblical principles in our families; all of which should result in a recovery and in fervent proclamation of the gospel to those outside of Christ.

WHY BIBLICAL COUNSELING?
Biblical Counseling uses the Bible, God’s word, given in 66 books over a 1600-year period, which deals with all the issues of our hearts, minds, and souls. The Bible has been used literally over thousands of years as a genuine help to millions of people who sometimes struggle under the weight of great sorrow, personal sin, guilt, and/or suffering.
